Thank you very much for taking the time to answer Jim..... that explains alot.
On another petro site there is a photo of a pair of Kettleman King globes side by side.... one of them is said to be your reproduction globe and the other is said to be an original. I'm not an artsy guy at all, but I can see major differences in them. Were the Kettleman globes also done by Pogo?

Nope - I did the art on that one.
My art was done from photographs that were furnished to me. I never had an original lens to hold in my hands.
The better reference I'm given - the closer the reproduction comes to the original.
In a perfect world, I like to have an original lens to work from. But some customers are (understandably) reluctant to ship a 1K lens to me to work from. LOL
Here's an Original lens that I was able to hold in my hands.
And here is the resulting Reproduction lens.
