I was real happy with my find at Englishtown today - thought the cleverly designed stand was a great way to keep the trapazoid sign upright Till I took it off to clean the sign and this is what I found Somebody went to a lot of trouble to be deceptive. I should have known better.

IF the sign had Not been used to cover a hole, it might have been scraped years ago. 2nd owner found a way to display it, then sold it.

I believe Englishtown is a swap meet, held in N.J. the weekend before Carlisle/Hershey. The sign was purchased in N.J. and taken to Delaware before the condition was discovered (if I read this correctly). Hard to take back if you have to drive that far.

At least you got a good story to tell. Hopefully, you didn't pay too much for it.

Maybe it came from the same STUDIO as the coragated Texaco sign! They just forgot to mention it was a studio creation. I am thinking about calling our shop a STUDIO and raising the price of our gates. And make gates like this
