I have the opportunity to buy a Lion Oil Naturalube license plate topper. The guy is asking quite a bit for it but I like it and havent seen one before. I see the mobil, white rose, sinclair a lot. It looks to be in pretty nice shape. Do you guys have any idea what a fair price would be. I cant find any for sale or sold and none on the bay. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

I know that Lion toppers have been reproduced, not sure that this exact topper has been? Have you seen it personally, to ensure that it isn't a "knock off"? How is the detail of the lion image, I can't tell from the photo?

I know that Lion toppers have been reproduced, not sure that this exact topper has been? Have you seen it personally, to ensure that it isn't a "knock off"? How is the detail of the lion image, I can't tell from the photo? Ive examined it. I am 100% sure it is real and not a fake. I dont believe this one was ever reproduced. Lion detail is great right down to the wiskers on his chin. Oh BTW I have the topper in my possesion just havent decided to buy it yet.

If it is real then, a price range (IMO) ranging from $65 to $180 depending on how much you want it. Checking ebay it looks as if, the price for toppers is still higher than a couple of years ago and the selection isn't as good(again my opinion).

The guy is wanting me to sell it on ebay for him (that is why I have it right now). He wants a bit more than I want to pay so I may just run it and see how it does. If it doesnt sell I may be able to get it for less.

I got one last year at Hershey. Think I paid $90 for it, NOS. Still had some paper stuck to it. Maybe I gave too much, but it's the only Lion item I've seen around here. I did have someone offer to buy it from me for more though so maybe I didn't give too much. I'd say if you like it and it's around $100 buy it.
