I have a glass cylinder i need to get some old gss off of, any ideas that would not damage the glass? Thanks

Thanks for the great ideas! I used 1500 grit wet dry and it cleaned the gas right off.

Simple Green Extreme cleans just about any grease/grime/gas/diesel residue I've ever some across. Supposedly it's environmentally friendly too so you can dump it down a drain. Pretty amazing stuff. I just cleaned up a computer with it that was caked in so much old greasy grime that I thought about getting another computer!
