Hey guys--I bought a globe a few days ago with one of the lenses broken. I'd like to glue it back together for display purposes. Is this possible and what kind of glue should be used?--Thanks--KEVIN

I was going to suggest a 2 part epoxy made for glass. I believe that "Gorilla Glue"(?) makes one, but not sure it is clear.

Kevin I had a piece broke off a lens buy the grove where you would screw it on a glass body. I used super glue & it held just fine. I spread it along the whole edge where it was broke on one side. Then I put the two pieces together & let it sit somewhere for a week or so. It is holding just fine & is not real noticeable until pointed out. Hope this helps ya out keep us updated:)

I used super glue and the heat in the garage caused it to let go, It was fine in the house. It was a Hiotane with one clean break that i got from Roger Cherry. Now i have a nice complete one.
By the way the one with one clean break ended up in many pieces. LOL

I've had good luck using a 5 minute 2 part clear epoxy made by Devcon. I glue the pieces together on a flat surface (my kitchen counter works well). I use painters masking tape to hold them to the counter top. I let it set up for a couple of hours before moving it.

I tried Loctite glass glue but it didn't hold. frown
