Who's going to Columbus. After the small showing last year I had decided not to go again but, come on, I can't miss seeing all of your smiling faces. The problem from California is airline connections and we can't get in until late Thursday afternoon. PLEASE...don't sell anything until we get there.

I haven't missed the Columbus Show since three years before it got to Dublin Ohio,, it used to be on the east side of Columbus Ohio at ( Lennox Inn ),, it has grown since then,,, I think it is a great show,,, I would like to meet you Ray,,trouble is no body wears a name tag, so lots of the guys never get to meet one another,only by chance..LOL !!! MAYBE THATS A GOOD THING,,, LOL !!!! I'll be there Wed. afternoon,,, the vendors were down a little last year,,, maybe this will be a better year..

This will be my first gas show. I'm excited to see the collections, and meet some of you guys. I'll be the one walking around, not spending any money...

What is the best time to get there?? First thing on Friday so you can see everything, or saturday so you maybe you can hit up some deals with guys not wanting to drag stuff back home? Unfortunately I can't make it both days.

Should be fun.

I'll be there wednesday night, bringing about 6 gas pumps, oil cans and signs. might even bring a harley davidson catalog rack. oh yeah, beer will be with me also, hopefully Phil McCauley will bring some also. see ya all there

The show set-up starts 11AM Thursday and it's all over Friday at 4PM.....so definitely don't wait until Saturday!! I'll be set up in space 223 with some signs, cans, and some "killer" smalls you don't see often.

5 quart, are you bringing any harley cans to columbus? I'll be set up in spot 148 next to miles little, i would like to look at them, may be interested in some of them. thanks bob

What DATE is the Columbus Show ??????

For us who have never been it is not common knowledge.
I am sure ALL the vendors would like everyone to know what days they are going to be there trying to sell their stuff.

I have seen several posts about shows that never give the date..??...this one is date-less, and I am clue-less.....I know what else is new.

The actual show starts on Thursday?? I thought Thursday was early vendor set up?

CTO advertises the show as a 36 hour Petroliana Extravaganza, from noon Thursday till midnite Friday, auction at 5pm.Friday till ?

I'll be rollin' in about noon wednesday with lots of nos signs!
I'll have the same spot along the trees!(beside bustermonty)
I asked for the same room also BUT haven't gotten ANY confirmation or anything soooo???

"Dear 2009 Show Registrant,

Thank you for registering for the “Check the Oil!” 23rd Annual
International Petroliana Collectors’ Show, known as “The Big
Friendly”! Enclosed is a map directing you to the Dublin Crowne Plaza Hotel the site of this year’s June 18-19 show.

Registration opens at 11:00 a.m. Thursday morning — please check-in with us to obtain your registration materials. The 2009 show hours – 36 hours of fun - begin at noon on Thursday and continue until Friday at midnight.

All Show registrants are welcome to join us as we kick-off the show with a Welcome Dinner on Thursday at 6:00 p.m. Advance discounted tickets may be purchased on-line at www.CTOhotline.com, by phone or at the "Check the Oil!" booth.

Lodging Information: If you requested a room, your reservation has been sent to the Dublin Crowne Plaza Hotel. It is likely you will not be able to park near yourroom since most of the parking lot spaces are reserved for outdoor exhibiting —if this is unacceptable, please contact us for other lodging options at our nearby, overflow hotel. You can verify your
room reservation by calling the hotel reservation desk directly at 614/764-2200.

Exhibitor Information: Please refer to the "enclosed show policies" for exhibitor set-uptimes. NO unpacking of items or set-up is to occur prior to Thursday at 11 AM. Please help us by following the policies regarding set-up hours.

Enclosed is a hotel parking lot map where your assigned space will be marked — please claim your space as soon as possible to keep other vehicles out of your spaces and to avoid potential congestion problems.

The "enclosed show policies" state that all exhibitors must make reasonable attempts to remain set-up during the show hours advertised to the general public....Friday 8AM to 4PM.

The cliff note version....selling starts at about 11AM Thursday 6/18, continues in room-to-room from 7 to 9PM Thursday evening, then on Friday 6/19 from 8 to 4PM. The Aumann auction then starts at 5PM: and/or more room-to-room Friday evening during and after the auction.
