Unfortunately this will be the first time I'll miss the show in the last 7 years. Spoke to A. Redford and B. Lowry today. Doesn't sound like they will be making it either. Hopefully I won't miss on any items I gotta have. Seems like I always come back with something nice from the show.

Great show for buying, found a great Union Oil Motorite porcelain shield sign, just listed it on ebay. Some nice cans too. Weather great.

GREAT show as always. This was my 21st show, I think. Good sales and bought a couple of signs but nothing great. A mint Bulko sign changed hands for a lot of money but I think that was probably the most rare piece there. Can't wait for next year but hear it may have been the last. If so the new location will be even better. More to follow on that if Roy's decides to throw in the towel. If it happens many of you mid westers will want to come out. Check out the items I put on Ebay today under hotcidr. thanks Ray

Ray, put the plastic Stimsonite back into that 101 and it'll sell for 1700 in two minutes.

Thanks agentsteel53 I was looking at the T on the back of the sign and thought it was the wrong era for marbles. What year did the road signs switch from marbles to stimsonite? Ted

'42 (J stamp) is the earliest Stimsonite I've seen, and '46 (N) is the latest glass. there is a '49 (R) US-91 out there with glass, but it is an "aftermarket modification" I *believe* my conversions of stamps to dates is correct ... A is 34, B is 35 ... and so on and so forth, but they skipped I and O because they look similar to 1 and 0. So '57 is Z, despite being only the 24th year of letters, and not the 26th.
