Hello, I’m new to this site and to the gas pump collecting and restoring hobby. I was given by a friend a Bennett #600 gas pump basket case. I was wondering the face plate I have has in the amount of sale four square cut outs the after market reproduction face plates only have three. Do I have the wrong face plate?? Also what year is the Bennett #600? Thanks for the help, Bill

That computer was for hi volume usage as T-Way said...They didn't make as many of these pumps as the 3 wheel...so that makes it a little more rare. The face is closed on the bottom which would be for a tall Bennett like a 646...766 is open at bottom to let light hit the ad glass. The face you have is the totalizer side , you need another 4 hole face , non totalizer side.Someone out there should have one...The computer was probably an extended range ....it goes to 99 9/10, limited range computer goes to 49 9/10 Joe

Jkyocom and T-way thank you both for your help. So I guess I have a Bennett 646.. You guys are right this pump is very tall. Saturday I will take some pictures of the pump it self. I have a ton of questions. Also these two Veeder Root computers came with the pump.

The one on the left is correct , that is the one referred as a crankback, the one on right is a semi-automatic and will only work on later pumps...there is a difference in the wheel holes and the faces will not interchange. The semi-auto came out in the late 50's in the 1066 Bennett, 39-A Tokheim 300 Tokheim..Totalizer wheels, bell and face mount "bar" are the only parts on those two computers that will interchange.Of all the computers I have had my hands on I have only seen about 4 of the 4 wheel computers... We read the totalizers twice a day, at shift time and at mid-night when we closed. Jack Sim

Hello Dick, yes I go to Pomona for the swap meet I haven’t missed one in many years. What I do is I go on Saturday so I can drive around I start at the north end up and down the isles headed south and when that’s complete I start over again. You can’t believe the stuff I find. If you are wondering why I do this rather then go on Sunday I tell you. October 20 of 2006 I had a full knee replacement on my right knee, hey! I just looked at the calendar and to day is four months. In March 2007 coming up I have pre-op for the left knee, something to look forward too!! When all said and done by March early June I should be walking pain free and that my friend is a blessing. Really looking forward to walking the L.A Roadster Show on Fathers day week-end... all though I’m in the swap meet area I rebuild and sell Columbia 2-Speed Axles and some early Ford parts. Got to run I here the wife calling sorry to be so long winded, Bill

After thinking about this pump, as I said, it would have been a high volume pump.... more than likely it would have had a hi-speed pumping unit, a higher HP motor to deliver more product, faster. Therefore it should have had a 1 inch hose and a nozzle with a 1 inch spout. Joe
