Hey guys- I saw a Texaco porcelain sign in a closed antique store today. It looked to be about 18" round, the black "T", porcelain. No date that I could see, but it was marked AAA Sign Co(I think it listed a city, but can't remember). Any opinions sight unseen as to repro or not? Thanks, Dave

Are you SURE it was a porcelain Texaco sign?? "AAA" signs are not only repops but are normally tin signs!

No, not sure at all. It was in a closed store, and I didn't get that good of a look at it. Since it was suspect at all, I didn't bother going back to look at it. It's scary out there trying not to get ripped off. I don't mind repo's as long as I know they're repo's. But if I'm laying out the bucks for an original, I definitely want to know it's truly an original.
