Since this can is from the same seller selling the questionable Polly quart, what do you think? Also, if you get a chance, look at his other auctions and give an opinion on the Penn- Bee and Penntroleum. Thank you.

Gary, this isn't the same seller selling the questionable Polly quart. The one selling the Polly was alongrider. Speed1 is very honest seller with 1800+ feedbacks and only 1 negative.

All are real..........................

THAT'S A TOUGH CALL GARY! JUST FROM LOOKING AT HIS FEEDBACK NUMBERS AND ALMOST PERFECT 99.9% RATE, I'D SAY HE HAS TO BE ON THE LEVEL WITH WHAT HE IS SELLING. OTHERWISE THERE WOULD BE ALOT OF CAN COLLECTORS' OUT THERE THROWING NEGS HIS WAY FOR SELLING FAKES AS ORIGINALS. IT'S A BUYER HAVE KNOWLEDGE OR BUYER BEWARE SITUATION.

THANKS FOR BRINGING UP THIS SOMETIMES STICKY SITUATION!

My mistake about the seller Scott. I just saw that Polly quart he had and assumed. Thanks for all the responses.

I have a lot of quart cans but don't consider myself an "expert" (at anything, LOL). I didn't know all these cans were being so meticulously reproduced, like down to "verticle lines" on a tailfeather. I'm definetly "gun shy" now.

I think this seller also is legit. I have been outbid by him many, many times on cans. He will pay big for good stuff so I am convinced he is real.

I have repoduced over 100 4oz. & 1qt. cans ALL done with a laser copied paper lable & dated in the seam area. These are applied to NEW cans that have a welded seam.

Some were done from photographs others by scanning the real can. Some have been sold on ebay by me, fats-cats, laney & a few others. I INSIST that they advertise them as repo. or copy cans. IF they refuse, I will not sell to them again.

I offer them for the collector/decorator that wants to fill a can rack or make a display. Sitting on a shelf or in a photo they look N.O.S.
