#230241901085 ebay auction number. What am I missing here an unrestored one just sold for $4550.00 and this restored one can't get a bid at $5000.00. Please advise me on everyone's thoughts.

That unrestored one is back on eBay with a BIN price of $3850. Seller says the original buyer backed out of the deal. Still seems strange with the lack of bidding on the restored one.

I would think most people would want one that has never been messed with or messed up in any way.

I have made the mistake of buying pumps before that someone has "tried" to restore and it is a pain because most of the time the key hard to replace parts are missing or they have put on some other junk etc.

My supposed winner emailed saying he found a better deal , and I am positive he thinks he's going to get the other one for 5000. but we all know how auctions go at the end. I had also offered mine to the backup bidders but they all have about the same response. This time when my reserve is met the buy it now will go away so it should be fun to see how both auctions play out. Later guys, M

Thanks fpr all the replies - Does the shell one have all the correct parts etc. I have a coupl restored vehicles and know all about starting with an unresored one. For my information only - just learning the hobby - is the shell pump correct.

Hopefully the third time is a charm because Martin Jaggi ebay user "ralphmartens" from switzerland used my buy it now, but in my ad I stated that I would not deal with anyone outside the U.S.A. He then said his contact was Miles Little in North Carolina so I called Miles and guess what, He knows nothing about it. My pump has been relisted AGAIN starting at 3850. This pump is available to the first no B.S. guy or gal who has the cash in hand and who lives in the good ole U.S.A. Can anyone tell I am getting wound up ? Later M

Matt, Martin is for real, and he pays fast! I am shipping a pump to Miles for him, maybe he hadn't talked to Miles yet, but don't write him off.

I am not going to post the exact response from Miles but I will say after talking to him you may want to call him before you ship something to him on behlaf of Martin. Both Miles and I came to the same conclusion therefore I chose to not deal with Martin. Real or not he needs to understand the language before guessing what a response from someone will be. I will not front money and or time to ship unless I have more than enough money from the buyer in my hand. Once shipped I will refund any difference to the buyer. There is more to it than that but this was the start of the problems. Hope it doesn't happen to anyone else. Matt
