Hard to find in any condition. Most KEESEE'S used these inside the cylinder & a number strip on the outside. Only the up-graded version used a numbered indicator stick inside the cylinder [a number inside a circle with arrow points for gal. & a bar in between #'s for 1/2gal.].

These aren't off a Keessee...they're off a Boyle Dayton VIZO. Check the guy's other auctions...he's parting out a very complete VIZO. I emailed him and told him he was silly for doing it that way, but he said that he had to get it taken-down and sold as his father was waiting to bulldoze it!!! I'm restoring a Keessee right now and the indicators are simliar to these in that it has the arrows on the side, but the shape is quite different. But you're right in that they do have a number strip that is placed over them with the numbers etched-on. All VIZO's I've ever seen either have these indicators (the ones on the auction)or the "bell"-shaped indicators. Here is a picture of a KEESSEE indicator:

I've had both pumps with these type indicators. 3 of the 5 Keesee's had these, 1 had like yours & 1 had the #'s in the circle. I've also had BD's with these, but most had the Bell shape.

Both Keesees I've had had these types of indicators, but it doesn't surprise me that they usedthe BD style...many of the pieces on the Keesee are reminiscent of the VIZO's. Either way, it's tough to come up with good, non-broken indicators of this style.

I thought Keesee too when I saw the sticks. But the rest of the parts don't look like mine, the cylinder base, jar lid, etc.
