Here is my Pratts High Test globe, (anglo american oil company). The name Pratts was replaced by Esso here in Britain in the mid 30's.

Cleveland petrol was based in the North East of England, it was purchased by anglo american oil company in the 30's. Cleveland disappeared in Britain in the early 70's replaced by the Esso brand.

Gary,
Thanks for posting the pictures and info about your globes. I really like those odd shaped (not round) globes.

This picture was sent to me. This globe is a #6 in rarity in the globe book. That means its the only known example.

I know since the globe book was published, a couple more Esso Marine globes have been discovered!

I would like to know what other "Marine" globes are known on 15" metal. I cannot think of another besides the Esso Marine and the Mobilgas Marine.

Jeff
