Hello, My name is Sylvia I found this union oil sign that has motorite on it. It is flanged and is about 21"X 20" cant find any info about it . Could someone tell me what to polish it with. It was being used as to cover a hole at the foundation. only top 3" were sticking out of the dirt. Home was built around 1910.

Shot at 2007-07-13 FREDERICKSEN Tank LINES started hauling product for Union Oil in the 40's and used the Union shield as there logo.It is similiar to the Union sign that started this topic.Today they use decals--same shape as the old porcelain sign.

Actually your sign is a bit older. It dates from 1915 to 1920 which is when this brand was in use.
