Great pics Scott! In your 1st post the 6th picture there is a sign that says All Credit Cards... It appears to be a Kerr McGee sign. Was that painted over a KM sign? Or was it all original? I've never seen a K-M sign like that.
Looks like you found a great place.

Wanted: Gas pump globes:Sinclair & affiliates, IL companies. Ripple bodies. Anything Sinclair, Stoll, Pierce, 4 Bros.

Bob, I'm pretty sure it is an original Kerr McGee credit card sign.

Thanks for posting those pictures Scott, looks like a great road trip.

I've been trying to get back to this post for the past week but was too busy with the Mendenhall photos.

This little fantasy station is located in the town of Santa Ynez, not far from me in Solvang. I posted a lousy picture of it awhile back, but finally went back rencently and took some better photos.

If you're ever out this way it's a great place to "Find Along the Way".

Scott, The Fry with the Ashland globe... is about 10 miles from me in New Harmony, IN. The base is in the concrete... when he got the pump he had to dig up the concrete also because someone poured it over the base. Don't have to worry about that pump getting stolen. LOL If that was how you came to the show than you drove right by my house on your way to the show... you could see my house from the road.

Looking for anything from Hoosier Pete, Platolene 500 and Red Bird.

I was in London last week (for business). I took my wife, and one day I had some time
and went to Leeds Castle in Kent, about 1 and 1/2 hours by train. Afterwards, we
were on a bus back to the train in a city called Harrietsham when I saw these pumps.
The bus let us off at the station, and I sprinted with my camera. I heard my wife
yell "If we miss this train your dead." I ran 1/4 mile, took a few shots, ran 1/4
mile back, and made the train by about one and 1/2 minutes. No time to ask about the
pumps and globes, but they probably wouldn't have fit in the carry-on anyway.

Dan, I thought you were going to be up my way last week, instead you're in England?

Nice Bowser pumps and shell globes. Anyone know why they put vents in place of the sight glass? Just curious.

That's our first international Found Along the Way.

Curt,

I'm heading up your way this Friday, on my way to Lake Nacimiento. With all this rain
I may have waterfront property. I'll call you on the way.

Saw this nice corner station in Concordia, MO, next to a Ford dealership on Main Street. Still has a Bowser gas pump in front and several globe sconces on the walls. Interesting brick work.

Scott Shipers took me out to eat at the Corner Cafe in Riverside, MO, north of Kansas City. By a strange coincidence, there just happened to be gas pumps in the restaurant. Who would have guessed? LOL Good food, too.
