Billboards, busses, yellow cabs, everywhere we looked there was our grandpa the mailman. The ad was three progressive shots of a mailman holding mail and the mail blowing out of his hand.The caption read "That's METHYL power" for standard oil/chevron stations . The story goes he was spotted delivering mail one day in the city in 1962.They said he had the look,so he posed in his uniform and they made the signs.It was really cool .I was in third grade and can remember seeing his picture all over San Francisco muni busses and yellow cabs. I wish I had one of them today.
