Hi. Would anyone be able to give me a value for this double sided Texaco sign(dated 1949) and rack? Sign is in very good condition. Thanks for your help. Ron.

Thanks Randy. See a number of them on eBay for prices ranging between $400 and $1000 for the sign only but never seem to sell so no idea as to fair market value.

Ron, that rack looks like a marriage to me. I have never seen that bottom style of rack with that sign. I had an original rack and it was double-sided and held US quarts. I modified it to hold imperial quarts. 57tbirdkid has a photo of the US rack and sign in an early post about can racks. I have included it here. I hope he doesn't mind. Cheers, Don.

Hi Don. Thanks for your comments and I expect you are right as the rack as shown does hold imperial quarts. Still displays nice though.

I have not seen that type of rack with those signs. Maybe they were different for Imperial Quarts? I noticed Doug (Blacktee) didn't comment on it, though....Here is a picture of mine, sorry it is not a better closeup....But the sign holder looks right..i.e. same as mine....

Ron, that rack looks like a marriage to me. I have never seen that bottom style of rack with that sign. I agree. The wire rack is much newer than the sign. Different periods of manufacture.
