I have a Hayes Visi that is missing the whole top. In looking for parts for this thing I am finding that mine is different from most out there. Mine has holes for Cyl Rods in the cast cyl bottom.
Have any of you seen this before? If so can you post some pics of how the top was held down with the rods.

Here is the patent for this pump - showing the side rods and how they attached. Hope this helps some of you... http://www.google.com/patents?vid=USPAT1711783&id=fShUAAAAEBAJ&pg=PP1&dq=1711783#PPP1,M1

Wow = ok. Read the patent above, and do a side search for "39". The rods are NOT what hold the cyl down, they are for the hail screen. The nut on top holds the top casting to hold the cyl down, thus helping to stop the attendents from breaking the cylender by applying force to all sides of the glass. The rods have NO nuts on the top, just a hole for them to slide into. They have 2 nuts at the bottom to hold them in place. The rods do nothing but act as a spacer between the hail screen and the glass bowl.
Cool.
