I was trying to find some info. on an old Gargoyle cap that a friend found in an old mine over the weekend. What type of oil can and how old is the cap. It has threads on the bottom and measures 1.75" in dia. and is 1.25" long. A picture of the cap can be viewed at the link below.

Looks pretty old - I dont know what can it went to though. It is a neat find though.

I have 1 & 5 gal cans that have the same stoppers. Early teens thru early 30's.
