Redhotrelics is selling a collection and someone asked if they could pick up and ship from their location. Their answer was no cash pickup. What is up with that or did they just mistake the question ? Why would you not want someone to pay cash and pickup or ship from your location on that big of a sale ?
It just seems odd to me or am I seeing this wrong?

i think they left out the punctuation and a word... i think they probably meant:

"no, cash & pickup in person"

eBay listing has been revised. HUNDRED DOLLAR BILLS ONLY

I'm not interested so no need to ask, BUT it appears these bills are not acceptable either for those of you who are...... LOL

It's been pointed out to me that several of the signs in this "collection" have also been listed/are being sold separately on ebay by redhot. I've had a few emails about this the last few days and since I don't share the same mindset as the picker, maybe Joey, or someone else, can explain his thinking/business practices.

Seems to me that the people who are bidding on the signs listed/shown in the "collection"... are going to want those signs.

^^^He could have listed the group of signs as more of a marketing ploy...

The cost of setting a reserve maxes out at $50 I believe. So for $50 you can set an outrageous reserve that will never be met & list like this and know that EVERYONE in the hobby will see it and click to see your other listings or contact you about certain signs to buy individually. If even one sign sells as a result of the listing, then its money well spent.

From what I've seen... A really good sign on ebay gets around 90-120 watchers. This lot of signs by RHR right now has 337 watchers.

I don't know if this is what Anthony is doing, but if it is... It's simply clever marketing - using eBay's worldwide presence to gain awareness for his business/items.

Now if he had been drinking a quart of milk, that picture would have been genius.

I figured it was a "marketing ploy", just like his "share" contests he does on Facebook. I, and others, just didn't realize the auction of the collection of signs was bogus. Which is now obvious, since he listed signs in the "collection" separately. Could have waited til the auction ended to do so but, I guess he knows best.

I'll pass on the info that the auction is bogus/just for attention.

Am I reading this right that some people here think this guy is "taking advantage" of ebay? Because ebay/paypal screws thousands of people every day of the year, so I have a real hard time feeling sorry for them if somebody uses them for anything.

not a big fan of Ebay's nor Paypal's policy but saying they screw thousands of people everyday shows a lack of understanding of the business world. Should they do it for free just to please the me generation? Every year the whining gets louder, don't like it don't use it but to do nothing but complain about it?? Please, get real.
