Anyone know of this brand out of Philadelphia? Rarity?

I know for sure that it is pre-1940, as it comes from a machine shop that was closed up in 1940 when the owner died. His grandson and I are now cleaning it out, and there are some amazing goodies. I think there are 6-10 of these Columbia cans, maybe more.

There are literally thousands of companies that had oil in cans... new cans pop up all the time... If nothing is documented about the brand anywhere then it's very rare that anyone will speak up... unless they happen to have lived in the town they oil was made and remember it... There are also not a lot of guys that collect the two gallon cans, because of how much space they take up... if your wondering about a value... probably not more than 25-30 dollars...

that's my 2c

A GRAND CHAMPION qt [with race cars] might bring $200, but the 2gal with the same graphics is worth $35-45.
