A friend of mine asked me if I could help her out by dating this canvas poster. I guessed 20s to the 30s but I wanted to make sure I was in the ballpark. Thanks Oldgas and any other info anybody could share she would be very thankful. I tried to find another to compare with no luck. It appears to be in nice shape.

I have a similar poster except mine is in paper 24" wide by 32 1/2 tall. I would think someone would be able to tell from the cars listed. Ill try to put up a picture of mine later. I believe it has got to be pre 1932 as it has the black outlined T.

Marc: I, too, have a similar poster with the Clean, Clear, Golden slogan. Mine is also canvas and not paper and is dated 1925. I am guessing that the canvas ones are older than the paper as they were more expensive than the paper ones to produce. But that is a guess.

In regards to the white T, that came later than 1932 but there were still some items with the black T into the 40s.

Should have REG US PAT OFF in the logo ? 1925-1929 is close.

If it has REG. T.M. in the logo 1930-32 ?

1936 The BlackT was phased out not 32

Looks like Alex has a pretty good chance of getting it for the opening bid.

Yea, I think if anyone bids they will win it and should have their head examined...(I say that most respectfully because anyone can price their item for whatever they want)

Steve Texaco didn't do that very often, some cans here and there also. I'm guessing that's around 1930, where Texaco changed the lettering in their logo. Playing around to see what would fit, and look best ?

Alex yes you are a cheapskate, (I say that must respectively because anyone can put a value on an item, be it low or high.) LOL

You would think the moderator would play by the rules of the forum ? Maybe you should delete your posts just for old time sake.

Hey, Doug: you are right, I went and re read my post and I didn't mean to make it sound like an offer....I am going to delete that part of my post...right now. The reason I mentioned that price is I saw three of those style charts at the Portland show in that range....The Cheapskate is off to fix his post....
