I'm beginning the restoration of my Dayton 600 I bought a month or so ago. I went to remove the handle and all that was holding it on was a small piece of brass wedged between the handle and the pump arm. Is this correct? The handle has no set screw and the pump arm that comes out is square. Any help would be appreciated!.........Thanks in advance for your time. Here are a couple of pics:

John, That is not the correct handle for a 600 series pump. It should have a slot on the bottom so it can be tightened up on the shaft. Ron

looks like a handle for a Rush pump, which has a threaded hole in the pump shaft to fasten it onto the unit.
