Got an e-mail from our gas station club today saying a gas pump was stolen in our area. It was fastened to a cement pad and the thief(scumbag-whatever describes them better)unbolted the pump from the base and removed. Just a little heads up for all of you. Thanks

See if you can get a pic up here so we can be on the look out. Was the email from CSSMA?

Yes it was from CSSMA. It only said from Southern Ontario. I am having trouble trying to get the picture transfered to this site. It is a Gilbarco pump in all orange supertest theme. Thanks,Tim

Here is a pic of the pump. And info about it

On the night of April 14 or 15, 2014, thieves stole this 1950’s/1960’s
Supertest Gas Pump, made by Gilvarco, from one, of our members.
!
The thieves left the black, steel base, of the pump, bolted to the concrete.
The pump underwent an external restoration years ago. It is painted
Supertest Orange and is topped off with an original Supertest glass globe.
!
The owner had removed the internal pump. The price was set at $0.48
cents a gallon.!
!
If you see or have knowledge, of this pump, contact the Police, or the
owner Mr. Ron Bergman, at (519) 537-7301 or by email, at
willowlake@xplornet.com!
!
Your help in this matter will be greatly appreciated.
!
Rowland W. Howard

Things like this are starting to happen here. Community mailboxes are being stolen. They remove the bolts.

If the guts were left in it,we'd know the thief had a good back.

I second that.

Interesting that the thief/thieves took the time to unbolt the frame from the base and didn't bother unbolting the base from the concrete.

Being as they left the pump base behind, I wonder if they just took it for scrap metal?
