Well I got my globe from The Peatone sale today. Was pretty happy until I saw the Balcrank body has been broken. It is a round hole centered around the screw.

How much do these Balcrank bodies go for? 350-400 sound right?

That crack must devalue it by 2/3rd's ?

Thanks
Jim

In my opinion your right on price wise. They are a lot harder to find as are the lenses. In all my globes I only have 2 balcranks. Ted

Thanks...I don't see these for sale ....so was wondering if the value on them had jumped like most other scarce petroliana.

You might wait a long time to find another, I have a damaged one I bought just because they are so hard to come by.

I paid $450 for one on ebay a couple months ago and bought a Skelly 5 hole Balcrank from Lonnie about a year ago for $475. I have five in my collection as Marland used them also.

Thanks for the info. Morphy is giving me a refund for the body as an insurance claim was not possible because of no damage to the shipping box.
