Been trying to figure out some info on this neon Chevy Dealer sign. I cant find good comps on it and need some help. From my understanding, its a 1935 version porcelain with good neon on the one side, the other side has it missing. It still has the mounts on top from when it was on the pole hanger. Its about 5 feet wide and about 3 feet tall. Never been restored. The front that you can see is better than the back and to a hotrod guy it could use clean up. To a sign guy, he or she would get all giggly over it. It fires up right away and works great for hours on end. [img:center]http://[/img]

Can't tell if that's some damage to the lower left corner?

Regardless I think current market would drive it above $4K easily as a working unit in given condition and missing the rear neon(you meant just missing neon right and not whole panel?).

Not as colorful as some examples, I would think average value would be around $12K+ if both panels were lit and in great condition with auction value 20-30% more.

Plenty of non-sign collectors drive prices on these neons and if you got the backside neon replaced it would be well worth the investment.

Thanks for the input. I misquoted the size as I couldn't get up to it. I got to it today and its about 72 inches wide and about 30-31 inches tall. Yesterday when I the pics when it had 30+ years of dust on it and today I started to clean it. We will see how it cleans up. A little soap and water made a lot of a difference. smile

Here's to hoping those are just dirt shadows rather than real damage.
