Good early morning gassers,
Well, after reading all the warm posts from DB and then seeing what Ryan is going through I am getting the heck out of Dodge. Suppose to be below zero tonite. So I am headed to an island for 10 days 300 miles north of Venezuela at 6am. (DB, does this quailify for the earliest check in on the non petro forum 2am smile At 62 I have moved enough snow, time as KW said for the kids to take over which I am lucky I have. They have the same equipment as KW so they can brave the elements. Will look for oil and gas down there as it is one of the only islands I have not been to in that region and maybe make a score. Not much for internet, TV or phones but I think DB would say GO FOR IT. See ya guys when I get back and MIck - will you get some warm air in here before I come back to our area !! Happy Holidays, Rob

Hello All,
Luckily I got up early enough to witness a beautiful pink/red sunrise, but now the sun is gone with light snow flurries coming down. The radio just said it's 19 degrees with a wind-chill of 12 degrees. I would never know as with my old boiler steam heat I slept on top of the covers last night with the fan on, lol!
Lots of Christmas activities in our area this weekend. We have our open house for the Hillsdale Co. Historical Society today and tomorrow. We decorate our 1854 museum with period greens and items that would have been used through the Civil War era. I love it as I always look forward to the home-made cookies and candies!
Have a good day all,
Darin

Snows over here....for now. They say we get more in a couple of days. Clear and 7 above right now with around ten inches of the white stuff that will not be melting anytime real soon. Got to help set up our poinsettia display at church in a little while then back to the couch for football by the fire most of the rest of the day. Go Mizzou!!!

Howdy everyone,
31 and the snow from yesterday is still here. Looks beautiful. Our snow usually does not stay very long but we are in for a cold spell.
May God bless us all,
Mike

Afternoon all, won't get above freeze mark today. But for the most part ice stay just above us as the rain ended last night.

Grandson birthday party this afternoon. Then pull a motor apart.
Son has been redoing a jeep. We started new motor last night and it started sounded great ran the idle up to let it run a few minutes. About five minutes in it ate to cam lobs. Bummer! No more comp cams for me.

HAGD-ALL!

Bummer on the motor Loyd. I always had pretty good luck with Comp cams. Something else must be going on there. Most of the time I saw that happen it was either a mistake on lifters or springs or some kind of oiling problem that wasn't caught when the block was prepped. Nothing sucks more than having to pull a new motor right back out after a build. Not a very good Christmas present for sure....GB

Hi everyone,

Happy Birthday, John Jarvis! I had my birthday yesterday and was so busy, I didn't even get to post on the daily blog here in Non-Petro.

It was 5 degrees here this morning and the lake iced over 95% last night. The ducks were gathered in the space I keep open with a pump. Worked for the food pantry yesterday and today. Setting up for a big distribution next week.

Big game for Mizzou football today. We'll be watching and cheering.

Have a great Saturday out there in Oldgasland!

Good afternoon gang!

Well, after hundreds of hours of schooling I took my written and practical exams for ski patrol. I got a 96/100 on the written and passed all of the practical exams. 99 percent of the training is all medical related. I am relived to have passed...LOL

Happy birthday to JJ.

Have a good day everybody!
