Hello Petroliana fans..

I'm needing some input/assistance if possible.. I'm looking at a Tokheim 36 not a 36B but a 36 with external visi guage, this particular pump is a clock face and I've not seen them in Jacks book, it appears to be an original unrestored piece, I've not got the panels off as yet to verify the guts being clock face however the gentleman that I've bought from in the past assures me this is the real deal, he too says he thought it was an unusual piece with it being a clock face.. might this have perhaps been an odd piece made for use on a farm by chance? Just wondering if anyone has ever come across such a piece and if it's in fact a desirable piece to have

Thank-you for your valued assistance/expertise on this..

Tokheim Cut 870 Special, A few have been found, not really considered Rare [unless listed on ebay].

After the common use of VR's for selling fuel, pump companies could sell a Dial Pump for less $$ by Not having to pay a Royalty for the use of a VR. DP were sold to companies/private fueling operations where fuel wasn't sold to general public.

I would consider them rare. I have only seen three that includes the one I have. They are a 36 that has a 870 clock unit and faces. The faces were cut to fit the 36 face pans. That is where the 870 special comes from. When you look inside it may look made up because the computer brackets are still in there, but it is original. Here is mine.

Jack, yes you may use any of my pictures. If you want a different one of this pump I can take what ever you need. If you want any other picture of my pumps I am happy to help.

If you happen to have a picture of the pump by itself it would sure save me a lot of time in the editing, plus we would be able to show more of the pump.

Thanks again,

Jack

Matt,

Thanks for posting the pictures! Every time I look at your stuff I enjoy seeing different stuff in the background. You are very well organized and keep a tidy garage. Nice work!

Rob
