Up for sale is an original 16.5" globe from Standard Oil Co. of Indiana. It dates back to the 1920's or early 30's. Both lenses are shown. The lenses were in this body back when I bought the globe, but I think it is a newer body? Don't know how to check and tell for sure?
Anyway, the lenses are rare and display pretty well, but as you can see, some of the paint on the inside has begun to fade or chip. I have shown a lot of pictures of each side with the flash on and off, etc. but if you have a specific question about a specific area, ask me and I can check it out.
Overall, still displays well on the shelf and a nice chance to own this globe at 1/2 or less of the price of a good one. Save up your pennies for when a mint one comes along and use this one in the mean time.
$750 OBO with FREE delivery to Peotone. Not really excited about shipping it, so please ask first so I can think about it. On your dime of course.
Good luck!
