Hey Doc

How are you going to fix the edge. I've thought of a few ways but have not come up with a good way for a sign I have. Thanks Craig

Bolts or hot riveting angle iron strip would do the least amount of added damage to sign.

O.........MY.........GOD..........

I think I found another HOT SPOT.
My mom told me to look under the front porch for more signs.
WELL I just started to pull some old wood out when I saw these two NOS rest room signs.
Wish me luck. I am going back in........

This has been fun to watch.

Have you checked the attic? Also, ask your mom if she ever remembers it being reroofed. It was not unusual to use signs on a roof.

Alex,
In the attic I found a stack of carboard mobilheat signs that my grandfather layed down on the floor boards to help insulate the house.

I know this sounds silly but, people in my area used to put cardboard or newspapers down on the floor before laying new coverings. Also some have found cans in the walls that were put there to help stop drafts. The latter was discovered when the house was being torn down so I don't recomend going that far. Just a thought. Ask your Mom.
