I have an opportunity to buy a National A62, green flying A porcelain with 1 original ad glass. Guy is asking $650 for the pump, and I think he's pretty firm in the price. The pump is pretty straight and the porcelain is good, but one of the doors is a different shade. I was thinking it was worth more around $500. Thoughts?

Having been collecting and restoring gas pumps for 12 years now I can tell you that if you can buy that pump for that amount you better jump on it NOW!!!! It is one of the most collectable pumps out ther. I have the good fortunte of restoring one and it is one of my favorites.

I came to find out that it's actually a National A360, not a 62. Does that change things?

1 side spinner, instead of 2 in the faces. Maybe -$100, really depends on CONDITION OF PORCELAIN.

I don't know about one of the most collectable pumps out there, but it is nice as far as five-footers go. $650 seems like a pretty fair price if it's in good condition...as Dick has said, condition of porcelain is important. If it's super clean, add on a few more $$. If not, $650 would be tops for me. Good Luck.

It's pretty clean, a few chips. One of the doors is faded or was replaced with a lighter shade of green my friend said though. I haven't seen the pump in person except through the window of a garage a few years ago.

Price sounds fair to me! The prices in the 'book' for most pumps have not gone up much if at all. I would love to have alot of the pumps at those prices. But, as always it comes down to if ya' want it you better get it. Larry

Chris you better get it before it is gone. If there was one close to me for that price I would have it in my shed now

Well, I ended up buying it! Thanks for all the advice, my girlfriend ended up giving me part of it for my birthday! If that doesn't mean she's a keeper I don't know what does!
