The Billups Composite can comes from about 1973 to at least 1988. I used to buy that oil for an old Ford econoline I ran in Houston all the time . Ed Shaver

Thanks, Ed. I had no idea the Billups logo was used that late. It was long gone from Mississippi by then ('88). DB sounds like that van got around.

Three new additions. B/A sign, Fisk tire and stand. Those tacky signs will be coming off of the Texaco Lubster. The Flying A sign is dated 1957.

Bought a couple pieces this past week. The T53 has been painted over the porcelain. 95+% of the porcelain is still there and only missing a couple small areas on one back leg. I may strip the paint, or just leave it alone. Will wait to decide. It was priced accordingly. Always wanted an ice cream sign, and found this one with the original flavor slide outs.

Nice looking cookie cutter. Looks good enough to leave as is, especially from a distance the match looks nice.
Are you saying someone actually PAINTED T53 on the sign? What kind of shyster would have done that other than one who looked on Ebay too much at the small junk T53 repros? I think all of the cookie cutters I've seen are dated in the porcelain in the area where they painted it on yours. Is that real date code there?

The T53 Repops on ebay are smaller 1pc., Flat, 1 sided & w/o mounting holes or brackets on back. No way of hanging.

It's the real deal. I made sure the T-53 is there in the porcelain under the paint! The backside shows all the brackets, welds, etc that match an original exactly too. I probably will leave it the way it is.

Yeah I know the Cookie Cutters have never been reproduced...I was just saying why would someone write that on a cookie cutter when it has NOTHING to do with the authenticity of the piece?
