I am just about to take on the project of decorating my 1 bay garage. This will be my "show" garage and will not have room for more than a few petro items when finished. My question is, would you decorate the garage in the same era (30's-40's) or would you cherry pick the best items available? I would like to purchase a restored pump(visable or clockface), an air hose, and maybe a lamp and lube.

Where would be the best place to purchase these as far as quality and price?

Can you suggest some that are more in demand?

I am in Dallas...Do you know anyone local, or is it best to burchase online?

Do you any online sites with pictures of decorated garages?

Thanks for taking the time. This looks like a great forum with very informed members.

GREAT LINK....I am wanting to go with original restored items. Yet I may be able to find a few accessories from them.

Do you have any suggestions on where the restored items are?

Hey there. I used to live in Dallas, so I know a little about the area. I don't know of anything in Dallas, but there is guy on I35 way south of Dallas (between Hillsboro and Waco maybe?) that restores pumps and has signs etc. I don't remember his name but he is easy to spot. I think it is around exit 359.

There is also a dealer in Mt. Pleasant on I30. He has alot of signs and restores cars, so he might do a pump for you.

Hope this helps, -Tom

The name of the guy that you are referring to is Larry Wingate, at Abbott, Tx. Never bought from him but have stopped in to see his stock.
