very cool!!few years back,i mounted a wooden prop on a wall for a customer and had to make it spin.worked well,but turned out to be slightly dangerous at some of her partys!LOL
Looking for gas,oil related clocks,especially neon and spinners .clock repair available. Mick

That in not an airplane propeller, it is for an airboat. Notice the flat ends. Plane propellers have curved ends. Just an FYI.

Direction of rotation shows its a pusher, not a puller. Thus, more likely an airboat prop. Also looks like one. Short, fat, flat ends with heavier brass. Should have a I'd number on the bolt flange/hub that you can look up to get year, function, horsepower rating, etc.

Hey guys , I'm a gas and oil guy. I know nothing about the prop, I bought it several years because it looked cool. It is a airboat prop. The writing on it says- 72 LXL 44----3015. I don't know what that means . Thanks for the replys, Daniel

No problem! The only reason I know is because I made the same mistake. Happens to the best of us. They are still great pieces for display.
