Hose from a clean-out job, one of three. This one is 11 feet long, and seems to be multi-layered, where the outer layer is wrapped and then sealed. It is on the stiff side, but this seems to be by design, as it is clean and flexes well.

The only markings I found (as shown) are stamped in rubber:

REPUBLIC RUBBER
REPRENE
GASOLINE HOSE
YOUNGSTOWN, OHIO, USA

38 R 4

Not sure of the size, but it fits on a brass Buckeye "M" 1926 patent nozzle.

Any information about the company, age of the hose and value are appreciated.

***If the hose goes for sale it will be posted in a sale forum per Oldgas rules. Please do NOT PM with offers or requests for price, thanks.***

Heres a little guide to tell what size the hoses are. Hoses and pipe go by inside measurements. 3/4 hose or pipe will be 3/4 inside about 1 1/16" outside. 1" hose or pipe will be 1" inside about 1 5/16" outside. 1 1/4" hose or pipe will be 1 1/4" inside and 1 9/16 outside. Because the threads are tapered go by the largest side closest to the hex and it will be the same size as the outside of the hose or pipe. Tubing goes by the outside size. Hope that helps. Mitch

If what I would be willing to pay is considered a value I would pay $30.00 for it at a swap meet. If I had to pay shipping I may not buy it.
