I've got one of them and am chasing another one.My problem is that I can't decide how to mount tham for display. As you know, they are big,6',heavy and expensive.

Where I have to put them is on a sheetrock wall.I'm really afraid to trust them to sheetrock anchors and screws going through the frames.Just the thought of one of them coming crashing down isn't something I want to deal with.

I'm thinking of hanging them on chains from the reinforced ceiling or blocking them up from the bottom.Has anyone else ever done such a thing?Any thoughts?Thank you for your time.

find a stud in the wall and put a good screw in the top right and bottom right and just regular wall anchors for the other 2. Shouldn't go anywhere then!

Looking for anything from Hoosier Pete, Platolene 500 and Red Bird.

Or screw a 1"x 2" board at the bottom into a stud. Then set the sign on it to carry the weight then use drywall anchors to hold it against the wall.

Thanks Jarvis.I mayend up with a modification of a bottom weight support board. The problem is that space on that wall is limited by other displays and of course the studs are not in the right place. Thanks again.

At Lowes, where I shop, they have hollow wall anchors that support over 100#. The thermometers are heavy but not that heavy, are they?

You could also use toggle bolts, which will not pull out like those drywall anchors can.

Use bonded washers (washers with rubber on the backside) under your screwheads to prevent damage/chipping.

I would suggest the hollow wall supports like Bob mentioned.

We bought a large antique Oak framed mirror w/ coat rack that hangs on the wall. Very heavy. I used 4 of the 100# rated fastners.
Even with the strain of hanging winter coats up and taking them down every day in the winter it has remained firm.
