This pump but with the electric motor and not the hand pump was my first pump. Drug it out myself from a field 25 years ago. I do not believe that there is a more top heavy pump than these models. Great pump though, and no way can I move it anymore.

I am interested, but what is the deal with the "2" hose kick outs?

Craig,
I agree pumps were a Lot more fun to move 20+ years ago & easier to find.

Travis,
Checked out my Tokheim 280 literature and there is no mention of a "hose kick out," what are you referring to?

This pump is a steal at $1000, I value the pump in unrestored condition at $2400. That may be a little high, not $1400 high.

Here is what I am talking about - I am not sure what else you would call it - what did this pump have - two hoses?

Would someone/factory added a second outlet depending upon island position or location? I have this same pump and holy ***** is the top heavy but it is a massive beauty of a piece for that money. Good luck

Dave, got your message on the pump:

Good price:
I might be headed your way “South Cara” this summer to pick up a 1926 Ford Model T Grand-Touring Limousine and if so would be able to pick this up at the same time. I just don’t know yet, that modification looks kinda “intimidating” to me.

The two hose outlets/drops/kick outs/whatevers look like they are factory – but I can not find any photos of a two hose pump – this is a very good price, but it is about right since the economy is bad right now – I am weary of this pump because it was restored once – too many times I have stepped into something someone has tinkered up on me and I never get it right again.

Let me keep looking and I will keep trying to work a deal on that Model T, if it all works out in the stars it was all to be.

Decided to do some research. Accoriding to the Tokheim literature and the Tokheim Repair Parts Manual, the 280, 285, 290 and the 295 all came with two "Hose Discharge Connections."

The pump has not be altered, it came that way. This is why everyone should have a piece of literature for their pump.

Dave,

I am interested in your pump. I live in Ohio. I guess I would have to ship it. I will try to call you. My email is Seven181@aol.com. I am looking for one like this for my garage. I also collect old soda cup machines.

Seven 181,

Try and get the pump to Miles, have him bring it to Columbus, you pick it up. No creating, and we help each other out.

I'm 75, but I would have purchased this pump a few years ago in a heart beat. $1000, he is giving it away. You could part it out and get $2000 +.
