I don't quite understand the totality of the purpose of this sign. I've digged through the site and seen past discussions on this Standard Flamo advertising. From what I gathered its many purpose is due to the sale of Kerosene during the 30s? for home purposes? It'd be nice to gather more actual knowledge on the purpose of the advertising, was this actually used on motels and hotels as a point of display along the road for customers to be enticed to stay during there trips? Also is Flamo an abbreviation for something else for Standard Co? Hoping the members here with more knowledge will chime in and share there thoughts. thanks

Not the best example, but you can see your sign in the postcard below.

Cabins equipt with Flamo. i.e. hot water, cooking, heat...

More Flamo... I believe it was an Lp gas and not kerosene. You can see the Flamo tanks in these images..
