Trying to duplicate the vintage "crackle-wrinkle" paint look. One method used Elmers glue, but I am skeptical on that one.
Any proven methods would be appreciated .

You can buy 'Crackle Finish' undercoat at any major Big Box store.

Read the lable to see what they recommend for a top coat - and application suggestions.

The Crackle finish undercoat is basically Elmer`s glue.

Crackle, wrinkle, hammered, etc are all kind of different beasts, not the same. You should be able to buy different paints for each,
