I recently purchased an old curbside oil pump made by the American Oil Pump and Tank Co. It has an ID. tag on it but I can only read the serial number and not the model number. I am looking for help in identifying the model. My pump was in red primer with only a hint of yellow near the base. Any suggestions on brand or pictures of similar restored units would be appreciated.

According to Jack's book, it appears to be a Model 1. Circa 1913. These were basically used for gasoline or kerosene in country stores. Maybe some home garages? One stroke delivers one gallon. Pretty much all the gas pumps of this era were painted red from the factory. Paul www.severngaspumps.com

As for pictures, it occurred to me that I had restored a Bowser of similar style, many years ago. You can got to my site www.severngaspumps on the home page, click on the examples of 1900's pumps. You will see the Bowser first. Regards, Paul
