Yes you are absolutely correct, how did I miss that. Indian head straightened up now. Better ? Unfortunately the rest of the pictures moving forward will show the Indian head on an angle as they were taken a couple of years ago during my construction of the gas station wall. My apologies.

Moving on, I decided I wanted light up globes on these pumps. I realize they are globe delete pumps and have no 5 inch, or whatever the size hole in the top. So I figured if I only drill a 3/8 inch hole in the top of them to accommodate the light bulb housing and a couple of 1/4 inch holes to securely mount the globe holder casting, it’s not a major modification. So at this point I decided to order 2 metal globes, 1 Red Indian glass lens, 1 Red Indian Marathon Blue lens and 2 White Flash Lenses for the backs of the pumps and 2 aluminum globe holder castings from Jim’s garage website.

When parts arrived, I had a little problem to deal with, these castings are formed exactly to accommodate a large hole in the center. I wasn’t going to modify my pump to fix, so I had a lot of grinding of the globe holder castings to fit the Wayne 866 curve.

While waiting for the globe holders to rust up a bit, this is the modification I ended up doing for fit on each globe holder casting.

Test fitting went well, now the globe holder castings sit flat with just a 3/8 inch hole drilled on top.

Working on the one globe now, primer and age painted. I also painted those 2 upper side panels on the first Red Indian Wayne 866 pump.
