I ran across this pic of a SICO curved pump plate. I had never seen one and did a little research. Clarence Schock out of Mount Joy Pennsylvania took over his father’s coal and lumber business in the late 19th century. They appeared to widen the kerosene business to gas and oil and remained fiercely independent not to be swallowed up by the large companies. Here is my question. This sign being curved…was it used on visible pumps? And can anyone document a SICO station? This pump plate is not listed in PCM’s Guide to Gas Pump Restoration by Henderson and Benjamin.
Whoops…that is two questions.
Thanks for any help.
