Was the station lighter an option on the 39vp? Does anyone have one for sale?

I wouldn't say option, but they could be ordered with the stationlighter. The SL pump top [where your pricer is]is DIFFERANT. It has a stamped area where the SL was attached. Most after market SL's can be used. db

On my Tokheim model 39, VP is under "type" on the plate. The serial number is 848795
Anyone have a guess on the year of manufacture?

Welcome to the site. Most of the tall Tokheim 39 pumps I have also have the VP under the type. After your serial number you should se a dash line the a letter then another dash line the the year made. I'm going to guess 1947. If you ever get over to the Walla Walla area stop by. Richard

What is the square thing on top of the pump called? Is it for advertisement? My 39 has some kind of round post on it. A hole is drilled thru the cover and a bolt comes up and attaches this round post to the cover. Would the square thing attach to it? Thanks, Mike

I`ve not seen the bracket for ads on the top before.....but I LIKE it! What`s it called? Was it specific to the pumps, or an aftermarket type thing that could be put on any make pump?

Its a small rod, that comes up through the top of the pump. Its for a small price card. I've only seen that style on the 39s. I'm sure that somebody has a pic. I think that Travis Towle was reproducing them.....
