Anybody know how glass lenses attach to a reproduction glass globe.?? I have always used metal or plastic globes.
Bought some really nice original lenses and would like to put them in a correct looking glass globe. Everything I have read say they attach with screws but that seems a little scary..
Want it to look period correct but don't want to damage the lenses either...

Yup, bolts and nuts with one per side at 3:00 & 9:00.
Just like they were attached back in the day.

You can put a tiny rubber o-ring or grommet on the screw (check local hardware for the tiny ones). And for the love of god, don’t tighten them.
