Maybe look at a headlight polishing kit from local parts store.? I've never used one but if it cleans up the plastic on headlights ,it might do the trick. Dave

I used to use a product called "Plexas". when I worked for the Police Dept. to polish the domes on a light bar.

This is a brand new cylinder. I just want to get it perfect before assembling. I just don't want to scratch it at all.
But that police light bar stuff sure sounds like a good idea!! And I guess a micro fiber cloth.

Sell it and buy a glass one, especially if your putting it outdoors. You can buy one from PetroNuts and pick it up in Milford to save on shipping.

There is no doubt, glass over acrylic!! My first go at this visible thing. If the acrylic really takes a ***** over time, It can always be replaced.
I should have mentioned. I am doing a fresh restoration and the acrylic cylinder that I have is brand new. It just seems to have a haze to it. I took some micro fiber and warm water to it, and then a dry fiber clothe. Seems to have cleared up some. I just want it to look it's best before final assemble tomrrow.
