Attached are a couple photos of my Aqua E-700 pump. I'm getting ready to work on the pumps wiring so I can light it up. It looks like, by the condition of the paint, that there was some type of cover on the top. There are screw holes in each of four corners and a hole that might have been used to pass an electrical conduit through. I'd appreciate it if someone could tell me if something is missing from my pump, or better yet, send me a picture of the top of their pump.

Thank you,

Marshall

Marshall, my Aqua top does not have a raised panel and no holes, well pretty sure it has no holes. My top is up in my attic. Perhaps this is a station lighter version? Brady

Good Morning Brady, Hope your doing well. A station lighter top might make sense but it would have to be almost as wide as the pump (12"+) at the bottom. The pump pictured in Jack's book also appears to have a raised panel on the top. Finding a station lighter might not be possible and I was thinking of welding the holes closed. Any chance you could post a photo of your top?

The holes do not look original. One is a little on the angle and the other more on the flat area. They were probably drilled to hold the top that is on it in this picture.

Matt,

You have a far better memory than I do. Looks like the holes are going to be welded shut! Thanks for the response.

For what it’s worth, It’s a really cool pump! I have one like it and yes those holes have been added IMO also.
