Picked up this sign today.

Lady found it cleaning out an old barn. Its cast iron.

No embossing makes me think it might be an old re pop

Anyone have any info on these?

Thanks

The lettering looks embossed. It looks legit. I have seen similar ones close to this wording.

...likely from an old bridge...

Looking for better Gulf items: signs, globes, cans and paper - especially porcelain Gulf flanges, and Gulf A-38 & A-62 ad glass...

The Sign is Cast iron and the lettering is embossed.

There is no manufacturing mark anywhere

Update:

The sign is an east coast sign that was made for wooden covered bridges.

One of the companies that made them. (I don’t know if they made this one) is Lebanon Machine Company from Lebanon New Hampshire.

I have seen these mounted on pieces of steel rail. Post a photo of the back. Dave
