Why can I find a kajillion reproduction signs for Smith-o-Lene, but I can't find anything about the company, other than they were based in Texarkana.
Anybody help me out?

I tried researching them for years. And really found out nothing. I new a guy, but he disappeared on me. He claimed to have known where the old bulk plant was. Sorry, I ran in to the same as you over 20 years ago.
