Back in the late 1980’s and early ‘90’s there was an Amoco station in our town that had sight window nozzles. All 3 grades used nozzles that had a little sight glass in the top of the handle. They had 3 or 4 little colored balls inside to help you see the gas flowing.

Does anyone else remember these? Were they only used by Amoco or other companies?

I wish I had a picture but I cannot find one online anywhere. I used to get gas at this station a lot as a teenager and remember them well.

I’ve tried to find one for a long time but never have seen one surface. They were a new style nozzle with the rubber covers but the sight window was cool.

KJV Psalms 16:11

Thou wilt shew me the path of life:
in thy presence is fulness of joy;
at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

Anyone? I found this post on another forum. I knew they had to be used elsewhere. He’s describing the same pump handle.

I asked my wife today and she said yes she remembers them too. I still cannot find a picture of one....

That’s very similar Matt. They did have a window on top of the handle and had little balls inside that swirled around. I’ve never seen an old original show up that Amoco used though. I’ve looked off and on for years for one.

I used one for years where I bought Amoco gas in Charlotte. Had little whit balls in it, right where Matts picture shows a hole in the red cover.

I remember using these before, but I’m thinking the ones I used were at Sunoco stations....
