Good day all,
Steve here with a new old "restored" Bowser. I was told it was a 585 but searches in this site are telling me it is a 575.
Some missing parts I will order from vendors but i have some questions and it seems some parts may be difficult to come by, such as hinges and locking bracket.
One question I have is the hose attachment; this has what appears to be 1 1/2 inch fittings,l only see 1 inch available from vendors; bush it down?
This has a white worn colored hose, should it be black:? It may be visible in a picture I will try to post;
I will order hose, site glass (2), numbers from vendors. I will use the parts needed thread to list what else I am looking for;\
Only a new unmarked tag on this but a number on the computer is 605058,l can I get an approx year with that? I will check with vendors on a book or two.

Ok there was other stuff i wanted to add but CRS so I will try to post a few pictures. Thank you for looking,l

Steve

Steve, Welcome. Nice truck. The hose on these were usually 3/4" black rubber. Use bushings to achieve this. Original parts can be found at Tom Buckles 765-571-0568. Check him for hinges and lock system. Paul www.severngaspumps.com

Your nozzle has a bushing in it already, bushing it down from 1 inch pipe to 3/4 inch pipe. j

Thank you all for the feedback and advice. The nozzle has a bushing from 1 1/2 to 1/2 inch, was a rube attachment to hold the hose to the nozzle, did not work very well. I will look for a busing to 3/4.
The IH is a 46, was a fire truck at the Pasco airport when the Navy gave the airport to the city in 46. I think it carried foam. Thank you for the kind words.
Steve
